Description

Playing during the "Dead Ball" era, Pittsburgh Pirates Hall of Fame shortstop Honus Wagner racked up 996 extra base hits, a .467 slugging average, 1,732 RBI, and many other big numbers. The mind boggles when trying to imagine what kind of power numbers this baseball titan would have put up, had he played a generation later, when the likes of "Babe" Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, and Rogers Hornsby were blasting baseballs all over the place.

Show your love of the game and its titans, by collecting this 1918 signed check display. Ornately framed to overall dimensions of 24x23, this antique Carnegie National Bank check bears a ("7") strength Wagner endorsement at bottom right. Also housed within the display are an 11x14 photo of the heavy hitter selecting his weapon of choice, and an engraved title plate with career stats. Auction LOA from JSA.

Frames included with lots: while we make every effort to protect the frames included in these lots during pre-auction storage and post-auction shipping, we are not responsible for any damage to the frames themselves, and no refunds will be given due to frame damage.
