Graded 60 EX 5 by SGC. One of the legendary rarities of the 1911 T205 Gold Border designation is uncovered with the offered Kaiser Wilhelm “Suffered in 18th Line” full text variation. This specimen is crowned by a tough Cycle back and is the highest graded of the two known variants with the scarce advertising reverse. This jewel is crease-free with a strong central image and only superficial chipping along the gilt perimeter. Those pursuing a 1911 T205 Gold Bolder master set will not want to pass on this seldom encountered opportunity to secure one of the most prominent prizes from the promotion. The Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards notes this variation as “Very scarce. Only found with Hassan back”. This item has a reserve. Estimated value ($5500-$8000).
