With potent bats a franchise trademark, the Pittsburgh Pirates have fielded rosters with names like Clemente, Stargell, Parker and Bonds instilling fear before they ever stepped up to the plate. Those Steel City icons (and many others) were in the lineups in games for which these (412) ticket stubs were issued. Spanning the days of Forbes Field, Three Rivers Stadium and PNC Park, the vouchers hail from as early as 1966 and as late as 2010. Conditions vary with most presenting nicely. More on our website.

Highlights include:

September 6, 1966: issued at Forbes Field for a contest in which Pirates Hall of Famers Clemente, Mazeroski and Stargell all collected hits in a 6-5 loss. For the visiting St. Louis Cardinals, Bob Gibson earned career win number 110 as he was backed by two-hit performances by both Brock and Cepeda. The voucher presents (VG) with an uneven admission tear and a hole punching (likely rendered at the turnstile).

September 25, 1968: issued at Forbes Field as the Reds blanked the Pirates, 3-0. Star-studded lineups included Bench, Clemente, Perez, Rose and Stargell. Culled from a season ticket booklet, the thin stock voucher presents (EX).

August 16, 1970: issued at Forbes Field for an 8-6 loss to lowly San Diego. The front-running Pirates saw their lead trimmed to three games despite career hits 2678 and 2679 by Roberto Clemente. Taken from a season ticket booklet, the crisp, thin stock voucher presents (EX).

September 12, 1979: issued at Three Rivers Stadium for a game between the Prates and Cardinals; a 2-0 shutout allowed the Bucs to maintain their half-game lead over Montreal en route to an N.L. East title, the National League pennant and an improbable World Series win over Baltimore.

April 2, 1994: issued at Cleveland’s freshly erected Indians Park (which was dubbed “Jacobs Field” upon its formal opening two days later), this stub hails from an exhibition between the Pirates and Indians, which was the first Major Game played at the venue. Ticket presents (VG-EX).

1994 All-Star Game: issued at Three Rivers Stadium on July 12, 1994 for the Mid-Summer Classic that, sadly, marked the final highlight of a strike-shortened season. A horizontal crease accounts for (VG) presentation quality, though the edges/corners are razor sharp.

October 1, 2000: issued at Three Rivers Stadium for that venue’s last-ever Major League contest (Cubs vs. Pirates). The voucher presents (VG-EX).
