As the Loma Prieta earthquake resulted in horrific structural damage that delayed the San Francisco “home” portion of the 1989 Bay Area World Series, the Oakland bats administered similar damage to the Giants’ pitching corps. Encapsulated and Graded GEM MT 10 by PSA, this full ticket was issued at Candlestick Park for the Game 4 finale of a series sweep during which the Giants did not enjoy a single lead. With printed seating/event details and Giants and World Series logos, the crisp “Upper Reserve” voucher was issued for the October 18 scheduled date and was honored 10 days later as debris was cleared and the field was deemed playable. Vibrant colors, sharp edges/corners and a clean reverse are deserving of the “perfect” technical assessment.
