Establishing himself with a .323 batting mark and a second straight 33-home run season in 2005, 22-year-old Miguel Cabrera set ample precedent for a stellar career that has already produced three straight batting titles and a Triple Crown. This Zinger (32.5-oz/34) 24 block-letter bat was used and signed by the Venezuela-born slugger during that 2005 season. Graded GU 9 by PSA/DNA, the uncracked lumber shows great game use and is signed on the barrel in silver marker (9 strength). Full photo LOA from John Taube. More on our website.
The two-toned maple lumber features a black handle and reddish Walker finish on the barrel. Game use attributes include ball and deeply embedded stitch marks about the hitting surface, as well as a heavy coat of Mota Stick and a spiral tape pattern on the handle. Just to the left of the barrel stampings, Cabrera has signed in silver marker (9 strength) and inscribed 24 Game Used 2005. Cabreras number 24 is inscribed in black marker on the cupped end.
