Etching his name among Boston Garden legends from the most dominant franchise in hoops annals, Larry Bird endured a 13-year career during which he braved recurring back ailments, won three MVP laurels and led his Celtics to three NBA titles. During his 1991-92 swan song, Bird wore and autographed this Boston Celtics road jersey. The green mesh pullover garment features “33” sewn to the front and back in white twill, “CELTICS” arched atop the front number and “BIRD” arched atop the back number in like fashion. On the upper portion of the first back “3,” Bird’s black marker autograph projects (“9”) potency. White-and-green striped stretch ribbed knit lines the collar and arm yokes, while an NBA silhouette logo is sewn to the left shoulder stirrup. On the vented left front tail, dual “Champion” labels respectively denote size “46” and “1991 – Body Length +3.” The all-original item shows moderate wear and comes with full photo LOAs from Grey Flannel and JSA. This item has a reserve (estimated value: $3000-$5500).
Note: the Grey Flannel LOA attests to the jersey’s authenticity, while the JSA LOA verifies that of the signature.
