Description

A southpaw side-arm hurler with a deceptive delivery, Florida State product Randy Choate caught the attention of the New York Yankees, for whom he wore this road jersey and cap during the early portion (2001-2003) of his Major League career. The gray knit jersey features twill identifiers and proper “Russell Athletic” tagging. The “New Era” size 7-3/8” cap, meanwhile, has a handwritten notation of Choate’s number “38” on the bill’s underside. Both items show moderate wear. More on our website.

Randy Choate 2001-2003 Game-Worn New York Yankees Road Jersey: a gray knit button-down garment with “NEW YORK” arched across the chest in blue-on-white satin twill and “38” sewn to the back in like fashion. Blue-and-white striped stretch ribbed knit lines the sleeve endings, while an MLB silhouette logo patch adorns the base of the neck. On the left front tail, a “Russell Athletic” label is accompanied by a size “50” fabric content tag and a tag denoting “2” extra length.” The all-original apparel item shows moderate wear with no repairs or alterations.

Randy Choate 2001-2003 Game-Worn New York Yankees Cap: a blue wool accessory with “NY” embroidered to the front center in white, and a blue button atop the six-point crown suspension. The interior sweatband is home to a “New Era” label and a size “7-3/8” tag. On the bill’s underside, Choate’s number “38” is inscribed in black ink. The item shows moderate wear with perspiration-induced soiling about the sweatband.
