Perhaps the best claim to the founding of golf in America can be traced to the “Apple Tree Gang” who founded the St. Andrew’s Golf Club in Yonkers, N.Y. in 1891. Among these founders was Harry Holbrook, who would go on to design golf equipment. Offered is a c.1900 Holbrook tripod club carrier. This amazing antique caddy presents in remarkable condition with light to moderate wear. The leather club cup, ball bag and cloth and leather straps are intact, the hardware is solid though somewhat oxidized and the “Air King” wheels function smoothly. More on our website.

One long leather strap intended to wrap around the front is detached at one, otherwise all parts appear to be intact and fully functioning. Indeed this well-preserved relic seems ready to revisit the links. The wood frame is in excellent condition and bears a decal label marked “Holbrook Club Carrier. This decal is approximately 70% full. Enjoy this museum quality collectible.
